ADULT EDUCATION

Our compentency-based High School Diploma Program was designed for self motivated adults who have come to realize that obtaining a high school diploma is the key of success.

Our program will open many doors to colleges and better employment opportunities. This program is NOT A GED, but rather a fully accredited program in which students are required to earn 28 credits. Credits are granted through a series of examinations, transfer of credits from previous high schools, college portfolios, and other documented life experience. In addition, students may receive honors credits through SAT II examinations, AP examinations, and college level classes.

PROCEDURE
Once an appointment has been scheduled, the individual will be required to take our pretest which will be evaluated by a counselor. The counselor will then review the application, discuss the course outline, and provide an individualized schedule in order to prepare for the exams.

We offer optional classes which review fundamentals in English and math, but there are no mandatory classes to be attended by the students.*

This is a self-paced program with flexible hours, designed in every way to present a flexible program that fits into your schedule. Here at Florida School of Excellence, our goal is to see all of our students graduate and become future leaders of tomorrow.

*Mandatory classes are required by the US Army, Air Force, and Navy.
